It’s decided.
Well, I decided.
I’m going to do it. I’m going to get my belly button pierced. My friend printed out a purple butterfly bellybutton ring and put it on an index card so I can carry it around for a week. It’ll hopefully provide for a token of encouragement. Well – since purple is my favorite color and well, I’m a bit crazy about butterflies.

So from a week from now, I should have my belly button pierced. I can’t wait. I can deal with piercings, it’s getting tattoos I draw the line. Piercings the pain is instant and over within seconds. I don’t think I could handle voluntary pain that is prolonged. I’m not that interested in pain. I like how it looks and I want to get it done.

Plus, it’s something I can hide if I work in a professional setting. I have two piercings per ear and this will be my last piercing. I really do want it too. I’ll probably be more jittery when I get down to actually getting it done, but I’ll have my friends there. I can do this.
